Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Training
Our goal is to educate future leaders in clinical practice, research, and teaching, utilizing the latest scientific advances in knowledge and technique. Faculty within the Division of Child Psychiatry and affiliated departments across the University include individuals known throughout the world for excellence and innovation in their scholastic and clinical endeavors. In addition to meeting all required training elements, this program will be unique in its application of research training, telepsychiatry, and a family based approach towards assessment and treatment.
The residency is part of the University of Vermont College of Medicine and The University of Vermont Medical Center and is coordinated with the General Psychiatry Residency. The program accepts two residents per year. In general, medical students apply for admission as a PGY1 into a five year Integrated General/Child & Adolescent Psychiatry program that includes full-time child and adolescent training in the PGY4 and 5 years.
