Vermont Child Psychiatry Access Program (VTCPAP) for Providers
The Vermont Center for Children, Youth and Families, in partnership with VCHIP, participates in the statewide Vermont Child Psychiatry Access Program (VT CPAP). The program offers Vermont healthcare professionals free telephone consultation and educational resources regarding the management of emotional and behavioral problems in primary care settings. Examples of these consultations include discussion of assessment, diagnosis, health promotion, and medication management. The primary health professional initiates this consultation by calling the VTCPAP line at (802) 488-5342 between 9:00am-3:00pm Monday to Friday. During VT CPAP hours the call will be returned within 30 minutes, or the health professional can schedule a time for a call back.
