    (MAY 22, 2019) In April, the Vermont Department of Health, Vermont Center on Behavior and Health at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont (UVM), and UVM Cancer Center launched a new longitudinal pilot study, called PACE Vermont (Policy and Communication Evaluation Vermont), which is engaging young people ages 12 to 25 to help close the knowledge gap in effective substance use prevention efforts.

    (MAY 19, 2019) For the past nearly four years, members of the Class of 2019 absorbed vast amounts of information, honed and demonstrated skills and comprehension, and experienced the dynamics of patient interactions and interprofessional health care teams. On Sunday, May 19, these newest graduates of the University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine were able to take on the official title of “Doctor.”

    (MAY 17, 2019) A study by UVM researchers and colleagues involving the analysis of MRI scans of more than 2,000 14-year-olds who were enrolled in the multinational IMAGEN study of adolescent development, was featured in a Psychiatric News article, titled "Behavior Dysregulation Shows Altered Brain Activity in Teens."
  • Honors Night Celebrates Senior Medical Student and Faculty Achievements

    The Larner College of Medicine’s Class of 2019 Honors Night on May 13 was all about celebrating achievements. Medical students, leaders, faculty members, family and friends gathered for the event in UVM’s Davis Center to honor the recipients of individual student awards, faculty awards, a staff award, and a department award, as well as recognize the new student inductees for the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society.
