Call for Proposals: 2024 Health Equity Summit

Discover and share exciting initiatives at the third annual Health Equity Summit, Building Solidarity: Sustainable Pathways Towards Health Equity. The Summit is a collaboration between community members, healthcare providers and educators to dismantle institutional barriers to health and enhance patient experiences.

Dates: Monday, October 7, 4 - 6 pm: Poster presentations and kickoff reception

Tuesday, October 8, 8 am - 5 pm: Workshops and sessions

Location: Double Tree Hotel, 870 Williston Road, South Burlington, VT 05403 (Google Maps)

Sponsors: The 3rd Annual Health Equity Summit is a joint effort presented by the University of Vermont Health Network, the Larner College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the University of Vermont.

We, and our entire state, can be proud of the progress made in limiting COVID-19 over the past three months. As such, Vermont is among the states most prepared for the gradual reopening allowed by our governor and being undertaken in our teaching, clinical and research missions. I ask you continue to follow the regular messages about those areas. Please note that we all are obligated to complete our state COVID-19 Mandatory Health and Safety Training prior to returning.
Cushman Discusses Blood Clots in COVID-19 on Science Friday

(MAY 22, 2020) Mary Cushman, M.D., M.Sc., professor of medicine, was featured on a Science Friday radio segment on "Blood Clots Linked To COVID-19 Are Raising Alarm." The program airs on nearly 400 public radio stations and has roughly 1.8 million listeners.
