Call for Proposals: 2024 Health Equity Summit

Discover and share exciting initiatives at the third annual Health Equity Summit, Building Solidarity: Sustainable Pathways Towards Health Equity. The Summit is a collaboration between community members, healthcare providers and educators to dismantle institutional barriers to health and enhance patient experiences.

Dates: Monday, October 7, 4 - 6 pm: Poster presentations and kickoff reception

Tuesday, October 8, 8 am - 5 pm: Workshops and sessions

Location: Double Tree Hotel, 870 Williston Road, South Burlington, VT 05403 (Google Maps)

The Research, Education, and Leadership Legacy of Cynthia Forehand

As a young math and science wiz, first-generation college student Cynthia Forehand admits she had a rocky start to her academic career, but an invitation to work in her advisor’s lab “was the beginning of a lifelong passion for inquiry-driven research,” she says, and led to more than 35 years of service as a biomedical scientist, educator, mentor, and leader at the University of Vermont.
Herrington Selected for 2023-24 Class of Executive Leadership in Health Care Fellows

Kanayo Ikeh Named UVM Cancer Center Juckett Scholar
