Call for Proposals: 2024 Health Equity Summit

Discover and share exciting initiatives at the third annual Health Equity Summit, Building Solidarity: Sustainable Pathways Towards Health Equity. The Summit is a collaboration between community members, healthcare providers and educators to dismantle institutional barriers to health and enhance patient experiences.

Dates: Monday, October 7, 4 - 6 pm: Poster presentations and kickoff reception

Tuesday, October 8, 8 am - 5 pm: Workshops and sessions

UVM-Based Biomedical Entrepreneurship Course and Public Seminar Series Launches June 16

i-TREP – a University of Vermont-based biomedical entrepreneurship training program – is sponsoring an intensive summer course that will take place at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM June 16 to 23, 2017.

Researchers Sean Diehl, Ph.D., assistant professor of medicine and a Vaccine Testing Center immunologist, and Sam Scarpino, Ph.D., assistant professor of mathematics and statistics, have been awarded the inaugural University of Vermont Biomedical Engineering Program Pilot Research Program grant for their project, “Integrating omics and clinical data to study dengue infection.”

George Till, M.D. named Leader of Generalist Division in OB/GYN

Dr. George Till will assume responsibility for leading the Generalist division within the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive sciences. George will be replacing Dr. Elisabeth Wegner who has served admirably in this role since 2015 and has now chosen to return to her primary professional passion, providing the highest quality of clinical care to her patients.
