Call for Proposals: 2024 Health Equity Summit

Discover and share exciting initiatives at the third annual Health Equity Summit, Building Solidarity: Sustainable Pathways Towards Health Equity. The Summit is a collaboration between community members, healthcare providers and educators to dismantle institutional barriers to health and enhance patient experiences.

Dates: Monday, October 7, 4 - 6 pm: Poster presentations and kickoff reception

Tuesday, October 8, 8 am - 5 pm: Workshops and sessions

Looking across the Sullivan Classroom at the smiling, anxious faces of 124 new medical students, it’s hard to imagine their individual journeys that led to this point. But they found their way to medicine, and they are needed. According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, “The United States will see a shortage of nearly 122,000 physicians by 2032 as demand for physicians continues to grow faster than supply.”

Fung Invested as Inaugural Korson Green & Gold Professor of Pathology

Fung, M.D., Ph.D., professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, was invested as the inaugural Roy Korson, M.D. and Lorraine Korson, M.S. Green & Gold Professor of Pathology at a formal ceremony held in the Hoehl Gallery at the Larner College of Medicine on August 5, 2019.
