All non-curriculum-related email communications are directed through the Wire to help support manageable email inboxes for our students; it's your one-stop-shop for all med school happenings outside of the classroom! Class of 2021

Clerkship Grades: Grades are made available to clerkship students 35 days after the end of the clerkship rotation, in the Clerkship Assessment Tool (COMCAT). Use Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer (IE with Compatibility View turned off) to view your grades in COMCAT.
- Grade Appeals: A student who disagrees with a final grade may appeal it via discussion of the matter with the course or rotation director. You can read more about the grade appeal process in the Medical Student Handbook Policy 540.60 - Grade Appeals.
ACTION REQUIRED - Clean Out Your Given Lockers by July 1: 7/1 deadline. If you haven't moved out of your Given Locker yet, please have “cleaning out your given locker” on your radar/task list. Students who fail to clean out their lockers by 7/1 will be charged a $50 cleaning fee. OMSE will provide free cleaning supplies, if needed. All lockers must be cleaned out by July 01...

They recently launched Season 2 of the project, which features some insightful stories told by doctors and other health professionals. Proof of Enrollment: The UVM Registrar's Office provides "Proof of Enrollment" (often needed for ski passes, discounts on car insurance, etc.), via your myUVM portal. Instructions are under the Registrar's Office Enrollment Verifications webpage. Turnover is usually less than one business day! Please contact the UVM Registrar with any questions.
- Need Something Call a "Letter of Good Standing" (different from proof of enrollment)? Submit a request to Medical Student Services. Please indicate whether you need an electronic format/hardcopy/both and where to send the letter.

Housing Opportunities

Graduate students are highly sought tenants in the Burlington area and property owners often advertise specifically to them with special rates (less than would be offered to undergraduate students); thus, the Office of Medical Student Education pulls together a list of housing opportunities posted specifically for this group, so you don't miss out on a good deal. Moreover, medical students also try to keep good spaces "in the family" and are known to post to this list. Please contact the Office of Medical Education if you have any questions.

Don't hesitate to ask the contact if they would consider lowering the advertised rate to secure a graduate student; it never hurts to ask!

Lost & Found

Lost something? Email the Office of Medical Student Education (OMSE) a description of the item. OMSE and the Dana Medical Library recently joined the UVM campus-wide lost & found system and search not only the College of Medicine, but campus as a whole to see if it's been turned in. If it hasn't, the office can file a claim for the item should someone turn it in soon!

Found something? Please turn it into either the Office of Medical Student Education (Given Courtyard n100) or the Dana Medical Library (First floor of the Medical Education Center) and we will be sure to log it into the Campus-Wide Lost & Found Database.

Found items are kept up to 30 days, and then are donated to various local organizations depending on the item.
