VCHIP’s children, youth and family mental health projects support clinical teams and community partners who work to identify, refer, and treat mental health and substance use disorders in Vermont. These efforts integrate and support coordination across multiple sectors including primary care, child psychiatry, and community-based mental health care, in partnership with the Vermont Department of Health and Department of Mental Health, to promote the well-being of Vermont’s children, youth, and families. Through the implementation of system wide improvements, our project teams support a strengths-based approach to socio-emotional wellness and collaborate across projects to assure integration across the life course.
