Tracy addressed UVM’s role in designing the study and the importance of this work to the mission of the Larner College of Medicine. He emphasized the unique approach that the study will take in involving local resources and people in the communities being studied. He also highlighted the longitudinal aspects of the study, which allow for direct comparison across counties with similar demographic data, yet disparate health outcomes.
