- Reminder from the Wellness Committee - What’s covered under the Student Health Services Fee we pay each semester? Services include CAPS and an assigned PCP. This is separate from Student Health insurance and everyone has access to some of these basic services. Visit the UVM Health Fees webpage and our Primary Care and Mental Health policy for information.
- Update from Student Council - Group Study/Med Ed Rooms/Call for Feedback: In case you missed it in your email, please review this Student Council response, regarding Med Ed Rooms and group study. Also, please consider providing your Student Council with general feedback as they continue to advocate for the student community.
- Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society FYIs: The LCOM AOA Selection Committee officially voted to approve an updated selection process for AOA selection in a pass/fail preclinical curriculum. Review the electronic memorandum from the AOA Faculty Councilor, Dr. Marie Sandoval, for a full overview of the official change for Class of 2020 and all subsequent classes. - Did you miss the recent LCOM Honors Societies Informational Session? No worries, OMSE Medical Student Services (MSST) recorded it! Please contact OMSE MSST with any questions.
- Do you order pizza for student group/student events [with budget approval, of course]?* Your Student Services Coordinator just discovered that Papa John’s offers a 40% discount on orders for UVM Student Groups and Leonardo’s offers 10% off on UVM Student Group orders. If/when you are ordering for your student events, don’t forget to tell them we are tax exempt and request the discount (“this order is for a UVM student group").

- APPROACHING DEADLINE - Winter Break Voucher Requests: To request vouchers for Step 1, Step 2 or Clinical Mastery Subject practice exams, please email Student Services and indicate which practice voucher you are requesting (mastery vouchers specify subject). Please request any voucher you may want to use over the holiday break no later than Thursday, 12/20, at 3:30 PM.
- TEMPORARY WIRE SCHEDULE CHANGE - Updated Submission Deadline & Two-week Issue: In light of the Winter Break, our 12/24 issue (12/21 submission deadline) will be a 2-week issue (12/24/18 - 01/06/19). We will return to a regular schedule with the 01/04/19 Friday submission deadline.
