- Policy Highlight for Your Class: The Office of Medical Student Education asks students to be aware of the specific days/times that they can take the exam should they request for a delay. Please ensure you are familiar with the content of Policy 540.24 - Examination Delays in the Medical Student Handbook.
- 2018 Schedule for Reporting Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS) Results is Available: The 2018 schedule provides guidelines regarding when a result for a Step 2 CS exam date will be reported. Send questions or comments to medicalschoolservices@nbme.org.
- UPDATE - Review of USMLE Step 2 CS Minimum Passing Performance: Because severe winter weather resulted in cancellation and rescheduling of one of the standard setting panels that review test content for the USMLE Step 2 CS examination, dates. - PRISM Training: For rotation 2, clerkship students that will be completing their first rotation at UVMMC will need to complete their PRISM training by Thursday, May 4th by 5pm. The PRISM training will be emailed to students on Monday, May 1 (the subject line will be “PRISM Training”). Check your junk mail if you do not see the email. Contact Jacqueline Drouin if you have any questions.

- Changes to the NBME Subject Examination Program: For questions, please contact the NBME Subject Examinations team at subjectexams@nbme.org.
- The timing and total number of items for the web-based Comprehensive Basic Science Examination (CBSE) will increase beginning May 10, 2017. Read more...
- Effective July 1, 2017, the Pediatrics Advanced Clinical and Surgery Advanced Clinical Subject Examinations will be discontinued and no longer available for administration due to low utilization. The last possible date to order these exams is June 28, 2017.
- Fees for subject examinations administered locally at your institution will increase by $1.00 per examination starting July 1, 2017. Fees for subject examinations administered at Prometric Test Centers will also increase. Examination fees for the 2017-2018 academic year are available on our website. Please note: fees are based on the test administration date.
- Beginning in August 2017, the time allotted to complete each item (item pacing) for the Basic Science subject examinations will increase. Read more...
