- THIS WEEK - Preparation for Practice: 03/20-03/31.
The Prep for Practice course for the Class of 2024 will take place during the last 2 weeks of March (3/20 - 3/31). Week 1 will be all recorded and asynchronous. Week 2 will be in-person, on-campus in Burlington.
- THIS WEEK - AAMC Virtual Specialty Forum - Get your specialty questions answered!: 03/23, 1- 4pm, virtual event (registration required). This
annual event hosted by the Careers in Medicine® program works to provide equitable access to specialty exposure, where medical students can view resources, chat with specialty representatives and AAMC staff, as well as attend a live presentation
with residents about their specialty choice.
- THIS WEEK - RESIDENCY-ADVISING EVENTS: 03/28 & 03/30. All students in the class of 2024 are invited to TWO evening advising panels on March 28 and March 30 with program directors and recently-matched students, and a catered
lunch on March 30 with advisors and program directors. Questions? Contact Emily Greenberger, Prep for Practice Course Director.
- UVM Larner Med Residency Director Panel: 03/28, 6-7pm, via Zoom (registration required).
Facetime with our wonderful Program Directors and discuss various things of importance (eg. how you might best prepare for future residency applications).
- Catered Lunch with Specialty Advisors and Program Directors: 03/30, 12-1pm, MedEd300 (Reardon Classroom).
Specialty advisors and program directors from all specialties will meet with you informally in small groups over lunch to discuss topics such as: application timeline, away rotations, letters of recommendation, best electives to take,
approach to interviews.
- Recently-matched Student Advice & Q&A Panel: 03/30, 6-7pm, via Zoom.
Students will informally address topics such as: application timeline/pointers, personal statement and CV pointers, how to succeed in your AI/EM rotations. NO FACULTY OR ADMINISTRATORS will be in attendance, and this will NOT BE RECORDED.
- M3/M4 Mount Sinai Medical Student Research Fellowships Available*: 03/31 application deadline.
A year-long research project with a faculty mentor in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Each program provides one year of funding and can be tailored to meet the interests of the selected fellow.
