New England Nursing Clinical Faculty and Preceptor Academy
The New England Nursing Academy is administered by the UMass Chan Medical School/Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing (GSN) in Worcester, MA in collaboration with Area Health Education Center (AHEC) partners from across the region including the University of Vermont (UVM) AHEC Program with the UVM College of Nursing and Health Sciences. It is funded by the Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention - Clinical Faculty and Preceptor Academies program grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

Preceptor Skills Webinars and Resources
Nurses and nurse practitioners may attend live and recorded Preceptor Skills Webinars and/or use materials in the Preceptor toolkit to enhance their knowledge and skills. The webinars provide contact hours and are focused on supporting nurse learners and new hires, as well as wellness tips for preceptors
Who Should Participate
Nurses who want to serve as clinical nursing faculty and/or current and prospective preceptors to newly hired nurses.
Summer 2025 Incentive Program
Participating nurses self-enroll in the New England Nursing Preceptor Academy and complete the webinars of their choice by august 15, 2025.
- The first 125 nurses who complete webinars and receive a contact hour certificate of completion at the end of the webinar will receive one incentive gift.
- In September 2025, incentives will be provided based on the number of webinars completed:
- Completion of 1 webinar will earn a gift valued at $25
- Completion of 2 webinars will earn a gift valued at $50
- Completion of 3 webinars will earn a gift valued at $75
