  • Medical Student Survey. This survey explores attitudes and intentions towards people experiencing homelessness: The data collected in this survey will be utilized to increase statistical power to perform a factor analysis. The factor analysis will reduce the 100-question survey to a shorter, more user-friendly version which reliably captures the breadth of student attitudes. The survey will be published to allow for more rigorous quantification of student attitude change across education on homelessness. No information will be published regarding the identity of participating medical schools. Student responses will be confidential; the only identifiable information shared will be email addresses, which will be used by UCF's Office of Planning & Knowledge Management for gift card distribution. The study team will not, at any point, be able to access student email information. The University of Central Florida College of Medicine is conducting a research study that aims to assess medical students' attitudes toward people experiencing homelessness. The survey will ultimately help evaluate the impact of various interventions on students' perspectives, helping to improve education on homelessness in medical school and promote compassion amongst medical trainees. It takes 30 minutes or less to complete and is fully confidential. Participants will receive a $5 Amazon gift card from UCF’s Office of Planning and Knowledge Management. Questions can be directed to br238062@ucf.edu.

Housing Opportunities

Graduate students are highly sought tenants in the Burlington area and property owners often advertise specifically to them with special rates (less than would be offered to undergraduate students). Don't hesitate to ask housing contacts if they would consider lowering the advertised rate to secure a graduate student; it never hurts to ask!
