- UVM Larner Med in a Time of COVID - Special Reports, Information, & Resources:
- UVMMC Shadowing under COVID-19: Shadowing at UVMMC is permitted but requires a coordinated departmental approach. Departments need to approve shadowing within their department or division and be able to attest to the following:
- Approval from sponsoring department to ensure in compliance with COVID-19 guidelines
- Impact on other learners in that environment and ensure there are no clinical students scheduled at that time
- Ability to meet COVID-19 guidelines to ensure student, patient, and faculty/staff safety (appropriate PPE)
- Latest Variant and Reminder on Masking: While this latest variant is highly transmissible, current data indicate that if you are exposed to omicron or BA.2, being up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines and boosters
will protect you. Still, it is important to remember the basics that we've been practicing since the start of the pandemic: wash your hands, maintain safe distances, and wear a mask when necessary.
