- Student surveillance testing: As of June 01, 2021, any student who is fully vaccinated is no longer required to test every seven days. To be exempt from the required testing, you must provide verification to Student Health Services confirming that you are fully vaccinated.
- UVM Face coverings/masks: Effective immediately, face coverings and masks are not required on
campus in outdoor public spaces, whether you are vaccinated or not, provided sustained or prolonged close contact with individuals from outside your household is avoided. Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a mask
indoors or outdoors at/in UVM buildings/facilities; however, everyone, including those fully vaccinated, should carry a face covering with them at all times.
- Everyone (fully vaccinated, or not fully vaccinated) still needs to wear face coverings on UVM shuttle buses and some UVM retail locations, depending on local ordinances.
- At this time, everyone who is not fully vaccinated is required to wear face coverings and masks indoors and to follow UVM’s face covering guidance.
- Friendly Note to Fully Vaccinated Folks: Please continue to be respectful of people's choice to wear masks (maybe even offer to put one on if it would make them more comfortable!) and please remain vigilant and
respectful toward other institution's, organization's, and business's mask guidelines.
- Travel: Vermont changed its travel guidance, eliminating all testing or quarantine requirements except for international travel.
This applies to fully vaccinated and non-vaccinated individuals. Note that UVM-sponsored international travel is still prohibited—please refer to the Summer 2021 Travel Policy Addendum (pdf).
- Physical distancing: Effective immediately, fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to adhere to physical distancing. Unvaccinated individuals and those who are not yet fully vaccinated must still physically
distance from others.
- Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated individuals: Anyone who is not yet fully vaccinated must adhere to the “two out of three” rule. The three requirements are (1) being outdoors, (2) wearing a face mask and (3)
physically distancing. You must adhere to two out of these three requirements at all times while on campus or in a UVM facility or location.
