Mission

The mission of the UVM Children’s Hospital Research Program in the Department of Pediatrics at the Larner College of Medicine is to foster a culture of curiosity and inquiry.  It does this by supporting faculty interested in conducting research and disseminating findings aimed at improving the health of pediatric patients equitably and inclusively.

Vision

The UVM Children’s Hospital Research Program will cultivate transformative research programs in pediatric primary, subspecialty, and tertiary care, becoming leaders in basic science discovery, clinical innovation, healthcare services, quality improvement and global health. They will do this using an equity lens regarding the diversity of researchers we support as well as the diversity and inclusion of pediatric patients participating in our research efforts.
