(OCTOBER 2, 2023) Randall Holcombe, M.D., M.B.A., professor of medicine, chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology, and director of the UVM Cancer Center, commented to WCAX about the annual Women’s Health and Cancer Conference held at UVM on September 29.
“We have very educated and informed patients,” he said. “And we want to make sure we bring them the most up-to-date information on all of these different aspects of cancer care so they can make the best decision with their doctors.”
Over 300 patients, caregivers and health care providers came out to the event hosted by the UVM Cancer Center, with hundreds more joining online from around the world. This year, the conference focused on new insights, research, treatments, and patient care methods.
