Deerfield Valley News Covers CORA Webinar on Rural Naloxone Distribution

(JULY 14, 2022) As part of its Community Rounds Workshop series, UVM's Center on Rural Addiction (CORA), led by Stacey Sigmon, Ph.D., held a webinar on July 13 about the importance of distributing naloxone in rural communities, according to the Deerfield Valley News.

(JULY 14, 2022) As part of its Community Rounds Workshop series, the Center on Rural Addiction (CORA) at the University of Vermont, led by Stacey Sigmon, Ph.D., director of the center and professor of psychiatry, held a webinar on July 13, 2022, about the importance of distributing naloxone in rural communities, according to the Deerfield Valley News.

The session, titled “Strategies for Distributing Naloxone to Rural Communities,” featured speakers Geoff Capraro, M.D., attending physician and associate professor with Brown Emergency Medicine; and Brooke Lawrence, executive officer of the Rhode Island Disaster Medical Assistance Team. The presentation explored the need for naloxone distribution in rural areas and discussed innovative methods and technologies for increasing access.
