Higgins Comments in U.S. News & World Report on Using Contingency Management to Treat Substance Use Disorders

(APRIL 24, 2019) Stephen Higgins, Ph.D., professor of psychiatry and director of the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health at UVM, is quoted in a U.S. News & World Report article, titled "A Barren Landscape for Meth Treatment."

(APRIL 24, 2019) Stephen Higgins, Ph.D., professor of psychiatry and director of the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health at UVM, is quoted in a U.S. News & World Report article, titled "A Barren Landscape for Meth Treatment." Higgins comments on the evidence supporting the use of contingency management strategies - providing small rewards to people who stay in treatment programs - to treat substance use disorders.
