Fellowship
Our faculty have provided fellowship training for more than five decades. Our academic and teaching responsibilities are dedicated to helping the next generation of cardiac physicians become national leaders.
Cardiovascular Disease - Since 1956, the Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease has provided post-residency training to physicians in the cognitive care of patients with cardiovascular disease as well as the performance and interpretation of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Our mission is to train the cardiovascular physician, teacher, and researcher leaders of tomorrow.
Cardiac Electrophysiology - The Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology provides its trainees with experience in the latest techniques in the treatment of simple and complex cardiac arrhythmia, including complex ablations for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Trainees also learn to implant the most sophisticated cardioverter defibrillators and pacemakers. The program has at its core a strong emphasis on education and research.
Interventional Cardiology - The Fellowship in Interventional Cardiologywas among the first ACGME-certified interventional programs in New England in 1998. With six core faculty, this one–year program exposes its trainees to cutting–edge research and techniques in the treatment of heart attack, coronary artery disease, aortic valve stenosis, peripheral vascular disease and structural/congenital heart disease.
