Essentials of Teaching and Assessment CourseA one-day, intensive course to introduce participants to the pedagogy, strategies, and resources for effective teaching and assessment. This event is open to all UVM Larner College of Medicine faculty. This course is designed especially for faculty, residents, fellows, graduate students, and postdocs who are new or returning to teaching. There is no fee to attend.   • Culinary Medicine Course Selected for 2024 Frymoyer Scholars Program

    Medical students Molly Hurd and Sarah Krumholz, and Alyssa Tenney, Aassistant Professor of Family Medicine Whitney Calkins, M.D., and chef educator Christina Vollbrecht were selected as 2024 Frymoyer Scholars. The scholarship supports development of a culinary medicine course that provides future doctors with skills and confidence to discuss nutrition and food access in patient care settings.
  • Larner Educators Honored at NEGEA Conference

    Kathryn Huggett, Ph.D., assistant dean for medical student education and director of the Teaching Academy, and Cate Nicholas, Ed.D., M.S., PA, associate professor of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences and the retiring director of education and operations for UVM’s Clinical Simulation Lab, received NEGEA Distinguished Educator Awards at the annual Northeast Group on Educational Affairs conference May 29–31.
