Don't miss out on this one-day, intensive course to introduce participants to the pedagogy, strategies, and resources for effective teaching and assessment. This event is open to all UVM Larner College of Medicine faculty. Convert Your Teaching into Scholarship: Publishing Educational Innovation in MedEdPORTAL and Other Venues
The Teaching Academy is hosting a special workshop with Grace Huang, MD, Editor-in-Chief of MedEdPORTAL and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School on Tuesday, September 25 at 12-1PM, HSRF 200.
Participants will be able to:
• Identify current teaching activities that can be transformed into works of educational scholarship
• List approaches for evaluating teaching activities in a scholarly manner
• Describe the steps necessary to prepare an educational project as a submission to MedEdPORTAL or other medical education journals

Adapting to the Changing Times in Health Sciences Education
Annual IAMSE Meeting, June 8-11, 2019, Roanoke, VA
The IAMSE meeting offers many opportunities for faculty development and networking, and brings medical sciences and medical education across the continuum together. This year’s main topic is Adapting to the Changing Times in Health Sciences Education. Confirmed keynote speakers are Don Cleveland (University of California, USA), Claudia Krebs (University of British Columbia, Canada), Craig Lenz (Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, USA), and Geoff Talmon (University of Nebraska Medical Center, USA). The meeting offers workshops, focus sessions, oral and poster presentations, and several networking opportunities.
