Teaching Academy Recognition!

At the 8th International Meeting of the Association of Biochemistry Educators, held at Kiawah Island of South Carolina, from April 30th to May 4th, Dr. Bei Zhang did an Educational Scholarship session titled “ Activate Students Learning Outside Classroom”; she also conducted two workshops with other ABE members titled “Linking Clinical Presentations to Their Biochemistry: A Novel ABE Clinical-Biochemistry Curricular Tread Mapping Educational Tool,” and ”Getting to Clerkship and Beyond: Crafting Biochemistry Learning Objectives that Connect and Integrate Basic Science Concepts with Clinical Application.” 

Elise Ames, MD, Teaching Academy Master Teacher and Professor of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, was elected Chair of the ACGME’s Council of Review Committee Chairs (CRCC) and will also sit on the ACGME Board and its Executive Council.

Now accepting proposals for pre-conference faculty development workshops that will be delivered on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the IAMSE 2024 Annual Conference, scheduled to be held in Minneapolis, MN, USA from June 14-18, 2024. Clinical Faculty Development Series

"Interprofessional Education in the VIC: Where and how to best integrate IPE into the Clerkship/Advanced Integration levels" with Karen Lounsbury, PhD; Bridget Marroquin, MD
The Clinical Faculty Development Series will cover all the major topics for Medical Education during the Clerkship. This program is available to all teachers, residents, fellows, faculty, and staff (e.g., clerkship coordinators). Each part (101, 201, and 301) consists of one-hour sessions with the curriculum to repeat every 3 years.
