Training and Opportunities
Join a lab
The faculty of the Redox Biology and Pathology program strongly support ongoing institutional efforts to improve undergraduate, graduate and medical student education in the biomedical sciences, as well as postdoctoral training in basic and clinical research. Indeed, because of their record in mentoring students and fellows, several of the laboratories within the program are widely recognized throughout the University as fertile training grounds for trainees in the sciences.
Members of the RBP program participate in multiple graduate programs. Persons interested in undergraduate, graduate or post-doctoral research please contact laboratories directly. Additional information may also be found at the departmental page.
Persons interested in post-doctoral opportunities should contact the PI directly with a CV and statement of interest.
Our Research Gallery provides a quick overview of research interests within the RBP program.
Funding, Investment and Opportunity
Investigators in the RBP program are funded through NIH research grants, private and public foundation grants, and through sponsored research contracts with Biotech-Pharma-and small businesses. (Example Sponsors – NIH/NCI, Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF), American Asthma Foundation, Celdara, Parker B. Francis Fellowship Program, Department of Defense)
Numerous investigators in the RBP program manage projects from federal grant dollars along with private endeavors more related to small biotech initiatives that support intellectual property generation, patent creation, and investor ROI.
RBP investigators work closely with UVM innovations and contract sponsors on project design, data generation, patent development, clinical translation, and commercial potential.
Please contact Kerry Swift in the UVM Innovations group for more information about partnering with RBP labs on current and future research endeavors.
