Skull Base Lab
Our Donaghy Skull Base Laboratory was established in 1958 by Dr. Raymond M.P. “Pete” Donaghy, a pioneer in microvascular neurosurgery. Under Dr. Donaghy’s guidance, over 200 neurosurgeons from around the world were trained in microvascular techniques in his microvascular research and training laboratory. We are proud to carry on this tradition, offering an annual course to neurosurgeons around the world in the latest technical advances in skull base surgery. In addition, Dr. Donaghy was instrumental in the development of the operating microscope that is used in neurosurgical procedures today.
