McNamara Comments to WCAX about Narcan Availability

(SEPTEMBER 25, 2023) Mariah McNamara, M.D., M.P.H., associate professor of emergency medicine at Larner and medical director of emergency medicine at the UVM Medical Center, commented to WCAX-TV about dispensing more Narcan to the community.

(SEPTEMBER 25, 2023) Mariah McNamara, M.D., M.P.H., associate professor of emergency medicine at Larner and medical director of emergency medicine at the UVM Medical Center, commented to WCAX-TV about the emergency department at the state’s largest hospital dispensing more Narcan to the community.

“Opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders are very common in our community. This is something that is an everyday occurrence we see when we are taking care of people” she said. “It’s really important that we share as much information and get the tools out there.”
