(DECEMBER 25, 2022) Research by Mary Cushman, M.D., M.Sc., professor of medicine, and colleagues, which found inequities in treatments and outcomes for pulmonary embolism, was reported in The ASCO Post. The study was one of several presented at the 2022 American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting and Exposition in December 2022 that uncovered significant disparities in medical care and health outcomes among patients of different racial backgrounds, nationalities, and socioeconomic status across a range of blood disorders.
