Fassler writes Letter to the Editor in New York Times

On August 14, UVM Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, David Fassler, M.D., wrote to the New York Times in response to an editorial titled "Evolving Attitudes on Solitary for Juveniles."
(AUGUST 14, 2017) On August 14, 2017, David Fassler, M.D., a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the UVM Larner College of Medicine, wrote a letter to the editor of The New York Times in response to an August 6, 2017 editorial, "Evolving Attitudes on Solitary for Juveniles." Fassler, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, notes that "...reform is way overdue" in ensuring consistent adherence to the 2016 ban on solitary confinement for juveniles in federal prisons.
