Ades Study on Improving Participation in Cardiac Rehab Programs Featured in Multiple Outlets

Once a patient has experienced a cardiac event, they are often prescribed participation in Cardiac Rehabilitation, yet only 20 to 30 percent of patients actually participate.

(NOVEMBER 14-18) Once a patient has experienced a cardiac event, they are often prescribed participation in Cardiac Rehabilitation, yet only 20 to 30 percent of patients actually participate. Cardiologist Philip Ades, M.D., professor of medicine at the UVM Larner College of Medicine and associate director of the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health published a study in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings that offers solutions to this challenge.
