UVM Nicotine Reduction Study

Our study is funded by the National Institutes of Health to test two different methods of reducing nicotine while continuing to smoke cigarettes. In this study you will be provided with study cigarettes for 5 weeks and nicotine patches for 4 weeks. You will receive up to $300 compensation for your participation.

To participate, you must currently smoke cigarettes and be 18 years or older. Additionally, you must be willing to come to our laboratory at the University Health Center (UHC) on UVM’s campus in Burlington, VT for a 1-hour initial visit and five additional 30-minute visits each week for 5 weeks.
