Essentials of Teaching and Assessment Course

September 30-October 1, 2021

A two-day, intensive course to introduce participants to the pedagogy, strategies, and resources for effective teaching and assessment, including in the virtual environment. This event is open to all UVM College of Medicine faculty. This course is designed especially for faculty, residents, fellows, graduate students, and postdocs who are new to teaching.

This course will be offered for approximately two half-days (afternoon of 9/30 and morning of 10/1).

1. If you have either seen our curriculum before or have very limited time, please watch this 8 minute film.  Please focus on whether or not you think there is student mistreatment in each of the 4 (interwoven) scenarios.  We will be discussing these scenarios on Friday. Scenarios were scripted based on LCOM student experiences collected from focus groups.
