Residents in the EM program engage in an academic project during their training, with options for clinical research. Proficiency is not required upon entry; expert researchers and mentors, including NIH-funded EM faculty, are available. A staff statistician aids in research planning and analysis. Residents also have access to EMRAP, which helps enroll subjects for clinical research in the Emergency Department.
