Dermatology Update for Primary Care Conference

Overview

Dermatology Update for Primary Care is designed for the non-dermatologist and will focus on practical office dermatology. Primary care physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other medical professionals with an interest in dermatology are encouraged to attend.
Faculty will present a wide spectrum of common dermatological problems and emphasize effective management. Ample opportunity will be given for questions during lectures and at the end of each session. Two hands-on workshops will feature cryosurgery, biopsy, and excision techniques.

Note: an additional $50 will be added for registrations received 9/22-9/27.

Optional hands-on workshops in cryosurgery, biopsy and excision will take place on Friday afternoon 9/27. Registrants may add the optional workshops for an extra $150, which fee includes a suture kit with instruments and suture pad.

Refunds

Refunds, minus an administrative fee of $75, will be made only if notice of cancellation is received in writing to uvmcmie@med.uvm.edu by August 27, 2024. Substitutions can be arranged by calling 802-656-2292, but refunds are not possible after August 27.

The University of Vermont designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.25* AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

This program has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 11.25* Nursing Contact Hours.

*Please note:  2 credits represent the optional workshops.  Without the workshops, the maximum credits would be 9.25.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 9.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

The AAFP has reviewed Dermatology Update for Primary Care and deemed it acceptable for up to 11.25 Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from 09/26/2024 to 09/27/2024. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
