Doors will open at 2:00 P.M. for guests
Students should arrive at 2:00 P.M. and meet in Billings Lecture Hall
Faculty participating in the procession should arrive at 2 P.M. and meet in the MLK Lounge in the lower level of Billings
Reception immediately following in the Grand Maple Ballroom at the Davis Center
*Balloon are not allowed in the Ira Allen Chapel or Davis Center
Ceremony Livestream

Tickets
Tickets will be required for guests and must be scanned for entry to the chapel and were requested by degree candidates. Walk-ins will not be accepted the day of the ceremony.

Parking & Shuttle Info
Graduates, guests and participants in the Larner College of Medicine Ceremony are asked to park in the UHC Lot. This lot must be accessed from South Williams Street as South Prospect will be closed to traffic. The parking lot is a short walk across
the UVM Green from the chapel. More information about parking, including a map can be found here.
ASL Interpreters, Seating Assistance, Wheelchair Seating, Live Captioning & Accessible Parking
Any attendees needing ASL interpreting, accessible parking, seating assistance, wheelchair seating or the use of a transport wheelchair to and from the ceremony should fill out the ADA Accomodations and Accessible Parking Request Form no
later than Thursday, May 16.
Degree Candidate Participation
Degree candidates are not required to participate in the Commencement Ceremony. If degree candidates wish to participate in the ceremony they must wear UVM Larner College of Medicine regalia with robe, hood, tam and tassel.
Regalia
For degree candidates: The UVM Larner Alumni Association is pleased to sponsor regalia for the Larner College of Medicine Class of 2024 through generous alumni philanthropy. All graduating students participating in commencement must wear regalia.
Regalia will be available for pick up in front of the Office of Medical Education on the following dates/times:
- Tuesday, May 7 - 11:30 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.
- Wednesday, May 8 - 11:30 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.
- Friday, May 10 - 11:30 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.
- Tuesday, May 14, 11:30 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.
- Wednesday, May 15 - 11:30 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.
Degree candidates who are unable to pick up regalia at these time should contact Liz Dohrman.
Hooding and Guest Hooders
Hooding is a part of the Commencement Ceremony immediately prior to when each graduate receives their diploma. As each graduating student's name is called, they ascend the stage and are seated on the "hooding stool". A doctoral hood is then placed
over their head. The deadline to request a guest hooder has passed.
