pelvic floor physical therapy for men and women,. She treats patients with any type of musculoskeletal pain, injury or after-surgery care, pelvic floor dysfunction, bowel and bladder incontinence, pelvic pain and total joint replacement.
Ann specializes in treatments such as exercise, dry needling, manual therapy, therapeutic taping, orthotic exams and prescriptions, and McKenzie Mechanical diagnosis and therapy, an internationally known method of treatment for spinal
and extremity pain. Ann’s research interests include outcome measures in total joint rehabilitation and connective tissue changes in lower back pain. | |

Blood Clot Prevention: Reducing the Second Leading Cause of Death in Cancer Patients | Chris Holmes, MD, PhD* | Dr. Holmes is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Larner College of Medicine and the Interim Director of Hematology/Oncology at the Department of Medicine. Dr. Holmes' research focuses on developing evidence-based clinical interventions
to reduce venous and arterial thrombosis in patients. Her most recent clinical initiative is a novel quality-health services research study that is designed to capture thrombosis and bleeding outcomes in cancer outpatients initiating
therapy. Dr. Holmes' group was the first to report that tumor genetics is associated with venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk in metastatic colon cancer - an observation that offers a potentially novel future approach to VTE risk
