Residency & Fellowship

ResidentsThe Graduate Medical Education Programs in the Department of Pediatrics offer some of the best teaching and mentoring in the country. The programs provide varied clinical care experiences in a rural setting with nationally recognized leaders in medical education, quality improvement, and advocacy who are committed to training our residents and fellows. We also remain deeply rooted in our local community through a strong network of valued partnerships which support the educational mission of the department.

The residency program takes pride in promoting cultural humility through child advocacy, local and global community medicine, and high-quality patient and family centered care that is evidence based, while supporting their ongoing pursuit of research and scholarly activities.

The Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship is a close-knit, academically rigorous program which aims to foster the development of excellent academic neonatologists through an emphasis on clinical care of critically-ill newborns, research, and teaching.
