Academic and Clinical Excellence

The Division of Dermatology at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine is a clinical division of the Department of Medicine with approximately 35,648 patient visits per year.

Our diverse faculty has expertise in medical dermatology, skin cancer, Mohs and reconstructive surgery, melanoma, connective tissue disease, cosmetics, and laser treatments. Many of our faculty also hold national leadership positions in the dermatology community.

Research & Education

In addition to caring for patients, our faculty conduct research and participate in the education of medical students, residents and fellows. Our research program includes studies in high-risk squamous carcinomas, imaging of cutaneous tumors, bioinformatics, and biomechanics of flap reconstructions.

We also offer graduate medical education programs including a three-year ACGME-accredited residency and training program in Dermatology, and a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology.
