Academic and Clinical Excellence

General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing medical problems in adolescents, adults, and the elderly. We work as a team to provide a medical home for our patients in clinic and around-the-clock care for our patients admitted to the hospital.

We strive to:

  • Deliver compassionate, responsive, integrated care
  • Teach the science, art, and joy of medicine
  • Promote knowledge through research and education
  • Cultivate a collegial and sustainable practice environment
  • Collaborate to improve the quality and safety of patient care
  • Enhance the health and well-being of our community

Education

Division faculty members play a pivotal role in teaching and directing courses for a broad audience of clinical learners. Our educational programs cover a wide spectrum, from primary care to tertiary care, communication skills to statistics, and from pre-medical students to post-graduate continuing medical education.

Research

We have a diversity of scholarly interests among our faculty. Research projects range from immunizations to models for chronic disease care, such as the medical home.

Recruitment

We are currently seeking Internal Medicine faculty physicians for our outpatient and hospitalist locations. For additional information, please visit Physician Careers.
