(JULY 3, 2023) Psychologist Arnold Kozak, Ph.D., clinical assistant professor of psychiatry, spoke to Women’s Health about introversion vs. extroversion as a sliding scale. Kozak believes everyone should cultivate the luxury of alone time to ensure they have a solid relationship with their inner selves.

(JULY 3, 2023) Psychologist Arnold Kozak, Ph.D., clinical assistant professor of psychiatry, spoke to Women’s Health about introversion vs. extroversion as a sliding scale. This sliding scale allows for increased variability in personality type, Kozak explains, but we still live in a society where extroversion dominates, and we don’t have adequate time to recharge. “The idea of happiness and sociability is on extrovert terms,” he says; however, “Solitude is a virtue.” Kozak believes everyone should cultivate the luxury of alone time to ensure they have a solid relationship with their inner selves.
