Larner College of Medicine Class of 2023 Featured on NBC 5

(AUGUST 19, 2019) Assistant Interim Dean for Students Shaden Eldakar-Hein, M.D., M.S., associate professor of medicine, and first-year medical student Akua Frimpong were featured in an NBC 5 segment on Larner's newest class of medical students, who arrived on campus last Monday.
(AUGUST 19, 2019) Assistant Interim Dean for Students Shaden Eldakar-Hein, M.D., M.S., associate professor of medicine, and first-year medical student Akua Frimpong were featured in an NBC 5 segment on Larner's  newest class of medical students, who arrived on campus last Monday. Frimpong addressed the excitement surrounding this new beginning and the role of Larner in fostering the growth of new physicians. "I know that I'm going to have the support here. I know that they're going to make me a culturally competent physician. I know I'm going to have the experience of seeing what rural medicine is like, which I never even thought to look into before, but also seeing urban medicine," said Frimpong. Eldakar-Hein delivered a welcome to the new class: "We're grateful to have you and we're here to help you with anything you need to be successful," she said.
