Dickerson Talks Holiday Stress with WCAX-TV

(NOVEMBER 28, 2024) Jeremiah Dickerson, M.D., assistant professor of psychiatry, shared tips for handling holiday stress with WCAX-TV.

“I think there’s certainly a lot of love and joy that comes with seeing family, but often there’s some conflict, as well,” he said.

If you face family conflict on Thanksgiving, Dickerson recommends looking for the similarities rather than the differences. “Focus on what brings people together, not what sort of drives people apart.”

If the differences become too much to handle, he says, seek medical help or reach out to a hotline.
