Course Description

This conference is designed to improve the skills of the primary care healthcare team as they navigate new treatments in obesity medicine and weight management. The conference will focus on issues related to obesity management and will provide practical and updated strategies for assessment and treatment. A wide spectrum of diagnostic, management and treatment options will be presented.

Audience

Primary Care physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, and other members of the primary care team.

This program has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 5.25 Nursing Contact Hours.

The University of Vermont's Physical Therapy Program in the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Science is an approved sponsor of continuing education for physical therapy.  The University of Vermont designates this activity for 5.25 continuing education credits for Physical Therapists in the state of Vermont.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 5.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.  It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participation completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
