Attendees can choose between attending in-person or virtually via zoom; the price is the same for either option. Participants may update their selection, however if possible we request as much advance notice as possible so that the hotel can be properly prepared. (10 days prior to the course would be appreciated.) Virtual attendees will have up to 30 days to review a recorded lecture.
Overview
This intensive four-day program for family physicians, advance practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other primary care professionals will focus on current issues in the practice of Family Medicine, with special attention to new contributions. Emphasis
is on practical, clinically applicable diagnostic and management issues in primary care. The course faculty is drawn from multiple specialties, including Family Medicine. The teaching program includes lectures and extensive course materials.
Objectives:
1. Review current recommendations for Genomics Testing, Parkinson's Disease, New Diagnosis of Hypothyroidism, Headache Management and Valvular Heart Disease
2. Discuss important updates for the management of Type 2 Diabetes, HPV Disease, Bipolar Disease and Endometrial Cancer
3. Participate in workshops including Long Acting Reversible Contraception, Skin Biopsies, End of Life Care, Knee Examination and Ultrasound
4. Discuss Practice Changes for 2022, Urgent Care Cases, Management of Substance Use Disorders, Providing Gender Affirming Care and Geriatric Psychiatry
